The National Highways Authority of India has introduced the annual FASTag Annual pass for Indian users, and it will start from Today onwards, 15 August 2025. This passes his for a White number plate ( private ) CARÂ Â and JEEP/VAN.
This pass only works
on the ( NH ) National highways, eg, 1. Delhi, Mumbai, and 2. Mumbai Surat, 3. Mumbai Nashik, 4. Bangalore Mysuru. Etc. ( NE ) National Expressways. This pass was introduced by Mr. Nitin Gadkari ( Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways ) in June 2025.
This Annual Pass provides
many facilities to the public who travel more on highways and expressways, making it easy, simple, and fast to pay tolls. Reduce the time in the toll, which can make a user go faster without any waiting time.
Annual Pass has many benefits for users. There is a one-year or 200-trip (whichever is earlier) Usage Limit. For more details, you can read this PDF provided by NHAI.
In this pass, it will expire after a year, and you have to repay. The pass is only made for private vehicles, not for commercial vehicles. Commercial vehicles have to pay their regular toll charge.
The buying process
It is very simple. You can go to the ajmargyatra mobile application and the NHAI website. And just log in with your details { FASTag Id Number } and your car details { registration number }, and just pay { Rs 3000/-} with your UPI ID or any payment method, and you will receive an SMS about your pass details, and it will be linked to your FASTag Id within 1 to 2 hr.
